The University of Oklahoma Bioengineering Center
(OUBC) spans research and education activities in
bioscience and bioengineering on the Norman and Oklahoma
City
campuses.
Students may select either a degree objective from
traditional areas of engineering with a bioengineering
option or an interdisciplinary degree program in
bioengineering. Individuals with exceptional academic
records may choose to pursue the M.D.-Ph.D. in conjunction
with the OU Medical School. Available coursework
provides a solid base of knowledge in bioengineering
as well as the opportunity to select from a wide
range of topics of current interest. Thesis and dissertation
projects for graduate students typically involve
active collaboration
with scientists and physicians at the OU Medical
Center to provide a challenging and rewarding research
experience.
