Undergraduate students and prospective students interested in biomedical engineering should follow one of the degree options available in the School of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering (AME), School of Industrial Engineering (IE), or the School of Chemical, Biological and Materials Engineering (CBME). These curricula provide a solid foundation in the engineering and the biosciences that can be supplemented with elective courses and undergraduate research opportunities available from the University of Oklahoma Bioengineering Center. Among the courses offered are introduction to biomedical engineering, biochemical engineering , bioinstrumentation, neural engineering, biotransport, medical imaging, biomaterials, biomechanics, cellular and tissue engineering, and biosensors.
